Jimi Gower and Tommy Setford have travelled with the Arsenal squad to their game against Liverpool on Sunday, with Jorginho seemingly set to continue to miss out through injury.
Arsenal youth duo Jimi Gower and Tommy Setford were spotted with the Arsenal senior squad on Saturday night travelling to Liverpool for Sunday’s first-team fixture.
Barring any changes from the PSG game, Arsenal currently have 19 senior players fit, and 20 spaces in the squad for Premier League matches.
That leaves one bench spot open, likely to be filled by Gower. As for Setford, he remains Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper, and the third-choice option often travels to away games even if they aren’t officially in the squad.

Gower’s inclusion is notable as it suggests none of the injured senior players are ready to return yet, most significantly Jorginho.
The midfielder had hinted at a possible comeback by posting a graphic for the game on his Instagram story, but he was then spotted at the Eventim Apollo in the audience for Britain’s Got Talent.
Gower is also a midfielder, so he’s an obvious choice as a youth replacement for Jorginho for this game.

Gower has already been on the bench for Mikel Arteta’s side seven times this season, but he’s yet to make his debut.
If Arsenal can wrap up Champions League qualification and a second-place finish before the final day, there might yet be some opportunities for young players like him against Southampton.
