When it comes to the success of a college football program, wins on the field matter most. But only shortly behind that is how many players you’re putting into the NFL. If you want to be great, you need to be producing great players, and Texas A&M appears to be doing that at a record pace. On Wednesday, it was announced that the Aggies have 13 players invited to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. That number is the most in program and the most of any school this season. It’s allso more than the Aggies sent to the Combine in the previous three seasons combined (3 in 2025, 5 in 2024 and 3 in 2023)

It’s worth noting that seven of those 13 players are transfers, which is increasingly common in college football today. But hardly any of them were slam dunk NFL prospects when they transferred to A&M, and of course several of those transfers (Cashius Howell, Will Lee III, Scooby Williams and Ar’maj Reed-Adams) spent multiple years in College Station. So you can’t discount the importance of development by this A&M staff either way.
Of course, this much talent heading to the NFL also means there’s a lot that needs replacing. I went over a lot of what we lost as well as what we brought in last month in my portal window recap, but suffice to say, the Ags should have some solid options even at positions where they lose a lot from the 2025 squad.
The NFL Scouting Combine will take place in Indianapolis from February 23 through March 2.
