Rafael Leão was given a starting spot by Massimiliano Allegri in Sunday’s Coppa Italia clash against Bari and the Portuguese winger endured a rollercoaster of emotions during the opening 16 minutes.
Leão handed the Rossoneri a perfect start, rising from close range to head the opener into the net from Fikayo Tomori’s pinpoint cross after just 14 minutes.
However, the good times didn’t last for too long as the attacker hobbled off almost immediately after scoring due to an injury and was replaced by Santiago Giménez.
Milan will be hoping it was just a knock for their attacking star.
