David Moyes dispelled rumours Everton will be forced to sell Jarrad Branthwaite.

In the wake of the club coming under the auspices of The Friedkin Group after their successful takeover in December, Moyes reiterated that the Toffees remain determined to keep hold of their best and brightest.

“I don’t know all about PSR, but I do know we’ve still got some work to do in the summer,” said Moyes.

“I was aware of it when I came in, but I’m hoping that we’re going to stop thinking about that now and begin to start thinking about how we’re moving forward.”

This comes after increased concerns that star man Jarrad Branthwaite may have to be sold, but Moyes offered assurances that Everton would only part ways with the England international for a considerable fee.

“Jarrad is a top player, if people want to buy Jarrad then I’ve said many times, bring a big bag of money.”

He continued; “Jarrad has done really well. I think he could do better. There’s still moments at times when he plays like a young centre-back, but I think he’s got an awful lot going for him.”

Everton lock horns with struggling Manchester United tomorrow as Moyes looks to keep the club on track to remain in the Premier League.
