After period of sustained dominance, Mexico struck pay-dirt, scoring three goals in 14 minutes to run away with the affair.
Goals from Alexia Delgado, Christina Burkenroad, and Rebeca Bernal saw Pedro López’s side head into the break with a healthy three-goal lead.
The two sides will face off once more early next week.
