Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has confirmed that defender Conor Townsend suffered an ACL injury.
The 32-year-old sustained the issue during the club’s friendly match against Auxerre.
The injury is expected to sideline Townsend for much of the upcoming campaign.
The left-back joined the Tractor Boys last summer from West Brom but found his playing time restricted to just three appearances in the Premier League.
