The Olympique de Marseille-PSG match had to be suspended this Sunday due to weather problems. Therefore, the match was postponed to this Monday at 8 PM. However, what happened in the meantime?
Ligue 1 and PSG wanted to postpone the match to Tuesday so that it would not coincide with the Ballon d’Or gala, but Olympique de Marseille refused, threatened with legal measures, and referred to the regulations.
What does the Ligue 1 regulation say? «When, due to bad weather, the match cannot start, is postponed, or is definitively interrupted, it will resume from the minute of its interruption, the next day (except in extreme conditions), at the time determined by the LFP services».
Since the regulation supported OM’s requests, the match ended up being moved to Monday.
