After completing his first training session with AtlĂ©tico Nacional, James RodrĂguez spoke for the first time about the possibility of wearing the number ’10’ shirt. The midfielder from CĂșcuta acknowledged the historic association with that number, although he downplayed the choice.

“What matters is being on the pitch”

“When you think of James, you think of the ’10’, but if I can’t play with that one, there’s no problem. What matters is being out there on the pitch,” said the midfielder. The number currently belongs to Edwin Cardona, so the Verdolaga board is working with Dimayor to authorize the change in numbering.
